Welcome to LunchWell: Creative Lunch ideas for work - Fern Green

a prepared plate lunch at work or home on a chopping board

Lets be honest: lunch has long been the underdog of meals. So I’ve taken it upon myself, to not only write a book about it, but also inspire you right here…I’m English….what can I say...I love an underdog!

Breakfast, which I’ve already written a book about,  gets good press, and has been hyped as the most important one. Dinner gets all the candlelight, instagram reels and many a cookbook favoured. But lunch? A working Lunch gets eaten over keyboards, forgotten in meetings, or sacrificed entirely to the to-do list gods.

That’s where LUNCH WELL comes in.

This blog is dedicated to reclaiming lunch – not by adding pressure to make every bite picture-perfect, but by embracing the beauty in the balance. It's about meals that power productivity without sacrificing joy. It’s for the people who are juggling deadlines and daydreaming about dumplings. For the Zoom or Microsoft Team warriors who want to meal-prep like pros but still crave a good sandwich. For the ones who believe that a 20-minute break with a really good salad can totally turn your day around. I promise, it can.

Here you’ll find:

  • Quick, crave-worthy lunch ideas for work you can make on a Sunday and still love by Thursday

  • Recipes that fill you up and get you through the afternoon slump - think protein, plants or animals

  • Real-life stories of professionals who have found creative ways to lunch better

  • Tools, tips and strategies for making mid-day meals more mindful – even if you’re still eating at your desk

  • Weekly lunch ramblings and the occasional ode to grilled cheese on toast

So, whether you’re a remote or hybrid worker with a stocked fridge or someone scanning the office fridge for leftover takeout – welcome.

Grab a fork, and let’s rethink the working lunch together.
